Chad Hodges, President of McKinley Building Corporation, brings over 26 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on strategic leadership and project management. A graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Chad has been an integral part of McKinley Building since 2005, when he joined as a Project Manager.

Throughout his career, Chad has successfully managed large-scale projects, including industrial, institutional, multi-family developments, senior living facilities, big-box retail, Class-A office, healthcare projects, and cleanroom facilities. His hands-on approach and extensive expertise in cost estimating, scheduling, and client operations have contributed to McKinley Building’s sustained growth and stellar reputation in Southeastern North Carolina.

As President, Chad oversees all aspects of the company’s strategic direction, business development, financial stability, project management, and client relationships, and corporate culture. His leadership ensures that McKinley Building continues to deliver the high-quality service and innovative construction solutions that clients have come to expect.

Chad is a LEED-certified professional and serves as the Qualifier for McKinley Building’s General Contractor license. His commitment to excellence and value engineering has consistently led to successful outcomes on both design-build and design-bid-build projects.

Beyond his professional career, Chad is deeply rooted in his community having made Wilmington his home right after his marriage to his wife, Amy, in 2000.  They are proud parents to four children: Mason, Reese, Pasey, and McCoy. Chad has always been active in sports, having both played in his youth and coached his children in various sports over the years.  He is a dedicated member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church, where he has served in multiple capacities and roles since 2001.

In his personal time, Chad enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.
