President
Chad Hodges, President of McKinley Building Corporation, brings over 26 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on strategic leadership and project management. A graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Chad has been an integral part of McKinley Building since 2005, when he joined as a Project Manager.
Throughout his career, Chad has successfully managed large-scale projects, including industrial, institutional, multi-family developments, senior living facilities, big-box retail, Class-A office, healthcare projects, and cleanroom facilities. His hands-on approach and extensive expertise in cost estimating, scheduling, and client operations have contributed to McKinley Building’s sustained growth and stellar reputation in Southeastern North Carolina.
As President, Chad oversees all aspects of the company’s strategic direction, business development, financial stability, project management, and client relationships, and corporate culture. His leadership ensures that McKinley Building continues to deliver the high-quality service and innovative construction solutions that clients have come to expect.
Chad is a LEED-certified professional and serves as the Qualifier for McKinley Building’s General Contractor license. His commitment to excellence and value engineering has consistently led to successful outcomes on both design-build and design-bid-build projects.
Beyond his professional career, Chad is deeply rooted in his community having made Wilmington his home right after his marriage to his wife, Amy, in 2000. They are proud parents to four children: Mason, Reese, Pasey, and McCoy. Chad has always been active in sports, having both played in his youth and coached his children in various sports over the years. He is a dedicated member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church, where he has served in multiple capacities and roles since 2001.
In his personal time, Chad enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.

Andrew Cooke
Vice President, Business Development Officer
Andrew Cooke serves as Vice President of Business Development for McKinley Building Corporation, where he leads client relationships, new business development, and strategic growth initiatives. He joined McKinley in 2019 after 12 years in commercial banking, bringing a strong background in finance, relationship management, and commercial real estate.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Andrew uses his financial experience to help clients navigate the early stages of project planning with clarity, confidence, and a focus on long-term success. He believes McKinley’s strength comes from its values-driven culture, commitment to safety and quality, and dedication to building lasting relationships.
Andrew was named Wake Forest University Banking School’s Distinguished Graduate in 2018 and is an Eagle Scout. He has served the Wilmington community through organizations including Airlie Gardens, StepUp Wilmington, Wilmington Downtown Inc., the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame, Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Leadership program, and First Presbyterian Church youth basketball.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys running, cooking, playing golf, live music, and spending time with his wife, Mary Jane, and their two sons, Ward and Mac.

Stephen Nunn
Senior Project Manager
Stephen Nunn has claimed the title of Project Manager at McKinley since 2016. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management and a minor in Business from Appalachian State University. Stephen brings over 20 years in the construction industry to McKinley. His experience is primarily with Construction Management and cost engineering for various Private, Federal and State clients.
Stephen works with clients at every stage of the process. From the conception phase of a project to overseeing it until full completion – this is one of his favorite parts of the job. His specialty is having the ability to see the project through with the owner and making plans or conceptual ideas and providing clear pricing and budgets, that fit within the clients’ needs. He prides himself on maintaining project costs to the estimated budget and completing projects on time. Stephen felt a great deal of satisfaction after the NHRMC Parking Deck and Pedestrian bridge project was the most rewarding project he’s been a part of. Maintaining client relationships by managing their project as if it he were the owner, is a mindset that Stephen brings to work daily. He believes that McKinley provides a small, family relationship with expertise and ability to complete projects in the 50 plus million dollar range.
When he’s not on the job he enjoys fishing, golfing, boating, and spending time with his wife and three children. Being a former football player for App State, you can find him cheering his team on Saturdays during college football season.

Keri Grant
Controller
As McKinley’s Controller, Keri Grant brings more than 30 years of public and private accounting experience to the team. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and her CPA designation, Keri plays an important role in managing McKinley’s financial operations with accuracy, clarity, and attention to detail.
Having seen firsthand McKinley’s reputation for professionalism, quality, and integrity, Keri is proud to be part of a hardworking team dedicated to excellence. She enjoys the dynamic nature of the construction industry and the unique challenges that come with supporting a diverse range of projects, timelines, and deliverables.
Outside of work, Keri enjoys boating, attending concerts, reading, and spending time with her husband, son, and dog.

McKinley “Ken” Dull
Founder & Chairman
McKinley “Ken” Dull is the Founder and Chairman of McKinley Building Corporation, a Commercial Construction Management, General Contracting and Design Build firm in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Ken graduated from NC State University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1985 and received his Professional Engineers license in 1990. In 1992, he founded McKinley Building which has grown to become Wilmington’s leading, locally owned, commercial builder with over 330 projects to date. Ken has been a past recipient of The Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s annual “Outstanding Economic Impact” Award for New Hanover County. His successful business philosophy is founded on quality, value, and attention to details. The culture of McKinley Building can be summed up with their Company acronym: “FIRST” Family/Faith, Integrity, Relationships, Service and Teamwork.
Ken has served on many civic, planning, and professional boards including the Chair of City of Wilmington Planning Commission, and Chair of New Hanover County Planning Commission, Chair of the Town of Wrightsville Beach Planning Commission, and the Wilmington Business Development Board. He currently serves as an elected official on the Town of Wrightsville Beach Board of Alderman (2nd term), The NC State Foundation Board (former development committee chair), local Chairman of the South State Bank Board, and Mayor of Wrightsville Beach. In the recent past he has served on the NC State Think and Do Capital Campaign Committee, Cape Fear Academy Board of Trustees, The Wilmington Housing Authority Board, and other bank boards. Ken was a featured speaker at a Cape Fear Christian Men’s Followship meet last year. Ken has been a Rotarian for over 30 years, including “Rotarian of the Year” in 2008.
Ken’s philanthropy extends across North Carolina. It starts at home with his focus on The Harrelson Center, a Christian mission based non-profit incubator. He has funded scholarships at Cape Fear Community College and Brunswick Community College. It extends to NC State University where Ken is a member of the R. Stanhope Pullen Giving Society(1M) where his philanthropy has covered aspects that run across the University from Engineering to Athletics to Park Scholarships and the CHASS College. His giving continues in the mountains of NC to the Linville Foundation that helps the children of Avery County. Ken was named Philanthropist of the year in 2023 by the Cape Fear Chapter of AFP.

They have two daughters: Madison Dull, and Catie Leigh Dull. They have been members of First Baptist Church of Wilmington for 34 years where Ken has served in leadership positions.
