Project Highlight: WTC Phase 1 Completion & Next Phase Groundbreaking

McKinley Building Corporation is proud to continue our partnership with Edgewater Ventures as construction moves into the next phase at Wilmington Trade Center. Phase 1 of the master-planned industrial park on U.S. 421 has officially wrapped, marked by the recent completion of the 100,080-square-foot Building 3. McKinley led construction efforts on all three buildings in the first phase, totaling over 415,000 square feet of modern industrial space, built to meet the growing demand for high-quality, flexible facilities in the Wilmington region.

With grading already underway for Phase 2, McKinley is gearing up for the next round of development, which will include up to 10 additional buildings and over $82 million in direct construction investment. Building 4, the first to break ground in this phase, is currently in the final stages of permitting. Once completed, Wilmington Trade Center will span more than 3.2 million square feet across 13 buildings—creating a major economic engine for the region. We’re honored to work alongside Edgewater Ventures and community leaders to help shape the future of industrial growth in New Hanover County. Read more via Wilmington Business Journal.
