Manheim Auto Auction Facility

McKinley Building Corporation partnered with Manheim, a Cox Automotive company and the nation’s leading provider of vehicle remarketing services, on the construction of a large-scale automotive auction and processing facility in Rocky Point, North Carolina.

Situated on approximately 75 acres near U.S. Highway 117, the project included construction of a 40,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal building along with extensive site development designed to support high-volume vehicle movement, storage, and auction operations.

The operationally complex facility was designed to streamline auction logistics and includes:

• 10 automotive service bays 
• Multiple drive-through processing lanes 
• Vehicle inspection and detailing areas 
• Administrative office space 
• Advanced traffic flow and striping systems 
• Parking and staging capacity for more than 1,500 vehicles 

The project also included significant site infrastructure improvements related to stormwater management, lighting, paving, circulation, and security systems.

The completed facility substantially expanded Manheim Wilmington’s operational capacity for eastern North Carolina and demonstrates McKinley’s experience delivering highly functional industrial and automotive facilities requiring detailed coordination, operational planning, and accelerated execution.
