Quality Chemical Laboratories Expansion
McKinley Building Corporation partnered with Quality Chemical Laboratories (QCL) on a significant expansion designed to support the company’s continued growth in pharmaceutical manufacturing and sterile fill-finish capabilities.
Completed in phases between 2020 and 2024, the 110,000-square-foot expansion substantially increased QCL’s operational capacity while allowing ongoing business operations to continue throughout construction.
The highly technical facility includes:
- ISO 7 and ISO 8 modular clean room environments
- ISO 5 isolators
- robotic aseptic filling lines
- analytical laboratory space
- WFI and pure steam generation systems
The project required extensive coordination, technical precision, and phased construction planning to support the client’s evolving operational and regulatory requirements.
This expansion positions QCL to further grow its role in injectable pharmaceutical manufacturing and reinforces Wilmington’s emergence as a hub for life sciences and advanced manufacturing.
